There is this longing for the here and now, for breaking out of the digital hamster wheel, and for experiencing life in its original form. Enjoying oneself, being outdoors, savoring the time. Experiencing instead of accomplishing. We want to create a place for this longing, local and close by. A place for people who crave nature. Without a packed schedule and a thousand options. A home in the middle of a vacation.
Our organic design apartments offer a stylish holiday ambience in a healthy design. For design lovers, families and couples for whom a sustainable, ecological overall package is important.
With the consistent use of natural and local building materials, our guests experience a pleasant indoor climate with a view of unspoilt natural landscapes. Carefree and light, made with love.
Eight cozy apartments with views of the Nockberge mountains and the neighbor's sheep. Bright rooms, large windows, and balconies connect the apartments with the vast landscape. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable dining area.
Natural materials, beautiful details, local wood, fluffy fabrics, linen and atmospheric lighting create a cosy atmosphere. A large garden with a fireplace and fountain invites you to linger.

das graue schaf is located in the centre of Bad Kleinkichheim - a small village in the Carinthian Nockberge mountains. Opposite of the apartments is an organic farm with farm shop and petting zoo. The Sonnalm ski lift and a stream are just a few minutes' walk away from the apartments. Bad Kleinkirchheim has all the shops you need for your daily needs.
In the apartments, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a wood-burning stove, and two televisions (one in the living room and one in the bedroom). Free Wi-Fi is available, of course. For sports enthusiasts, there is a ski and bike storage room with a heated ski boot rack. A fire pit is available for barbecues in the communal garden.
Treating our environment with care is particularly important to us. Therefore, all textiles and items at das graue schaf are made from sustainable and natural resources.
Parking spaces are available directly on the premises. Guests have access to an electric vehicle charging station as well as bicycle parking spots.
Fitness equipment is available to guests in the yoga room.
There is also a table tennis room with a dartboard.
Each bed is equipped with a reading light and two different pillow sizes. The beds are dressed with fresh cotton bedding. Upon request, a bed drawer for small children can be provided. Baby crips are also available on request.
The kitchen in all apartments is equipped with an electric stove with ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, dishes, cutlery, wine glasses, drinking glasses, pots, pan, colander, cutting boards, water carafe, Bialetti coffee maker, corkscrew, cheese grater, vegetable peeler, whisk, dish towels, sponge, dishwashing liquid and rinse aid.
Each guest has one bath towel and one hand towel available. Additionally, each apartment is equipped with a hairdryer and sheep milk soap.
